Summary from Barnes & Noble .com:

Mara Dyer doesn't think life can get any stranger than waking up in a hospital with no memory of how she got there.
It can.
She believes there must be more to the accident she can't remember that killed her friends and left her mysteriously unharmed.
There is.
She doesn't believe that after everything she's been through, she can fall in love.
She's wrong.

My review:

This book was completely amazing. From cover, characters, story line, and just the way it was written. The cover looks like a typical YA paranormal romance, but it sound like something so completely different, and it is. The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer  is like nothing I have ever read before.

It's basically about a girl who went to an old abandoned asylum  in the middle of the night with her best friend, her boyfriend, and her boyfriend's sister. She wakes up in a hospital not remembering what happened and she learns she was the only one to survive. Her parents decide it would be better for her if the moved. She is having trouble with her new school, her mom is treating her like she is a mental patient, there is this mysterious boy, and weird things keep on happening. Combined this all together for one epic nail biting novel.

Mara is a strong willed, opinionated, and strong teenage girl. That you will love for beginning to end. Noah is a mysterious popular boy that likes and protects her. He is more than just some popular boy, he has secrets too. They are perfect for each other, they balance each other out.

This book is well written. I felt like I was Mara and everything the was happening in the book was happening to me the whole time I read this book. It's like no other YA paranormal romance I have ever read. Michelle did a beyond wonderful job on this book. It keeps you on the edge the entire book. It leaves you wait for the next book.

The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer is a nail biting experience the entire time you read it. So do yourself a  favor and get a hold of a copy and devour it.
