Summary From B&N.com:
When Wendy Everly was six years
old, her mother was convinced she was a monster and tried to kill her.
Eleven years later, Wendy discovers her mother might have been right.
She’s not the person she’s always believed herself to be, and her whole
life begins to unravel—all because of Finn Holmes.
Finn is a mysterious guy who
always seems to be watching her. Every encounter leaves her deeply
shaken…though it has more to do with her fierce attraction to him than
she’d ever admit. But it isn’t long before he reveals the truth: Wendy
is a changeling who was switched at birth—and he’s come to take her
home.
Now Wendy’s about to journey to a
magical world she never knew existed, one that’s both beautiful and
frightening. And where she must leave her old life behind to discover
who she’s meant to become…
My Review:
Switched is a completely astonishing book. Everything in this book is like nothing I have ever read. The paranormal element in this book is very original and never heard of before.
Wendy's mother tried to kill her on her sixth birthday. Claiming that Wendy was not her child and was not human. Eleven years later Finn appears in Wendy's, saying thing that might just prove what her mother said all those years ago true.
Wendy is very stubborn, but not really in a bratty way. She stands up for her family. She also stands up for what she wants and believes in. I admire her for this quality. Finn is still a very mysterouis character for me and I can't wait to find out more about him.
One of the things that made this book for me was the way it made me feel like I was Wendy and book was my life. To find that in a book is very rare for paranormal books. Amanda Hocking made the paranormal element so believable, it made think could this really be true.
I love this book for so many reasons. I love how Amanda bought the paranormal element to life and made it seem so real. I loved that for the whole time I read this book it felt like I was living it. I recommend this book to any one looking for a realistic paranormal romance.
